Ridgway: With a population under 1,000, Ridgway is the back yard to 1000 County Road #3. Ridgway is a small town with real-world charm. It's the home to many notables, including Ralph Laruen and Charlie Ergen of Dish Network Fame.

A True Grit Town (Ridgway): The town is perhaps most famous for serving as a setting for numerous western films including John Wayne's True Grit. The True Grit Cafe is full of John Wayne memorabilia, and is one of many fine restaurants in the area.

Ouray: Located 10 minutes away, Ouray, "The Switzerland of America", is a picturesque town of less than 1,000 residents. Ouray is famous for its year-round municipal hot springs, breathtaking Jeeping adventures, and international ice-climbing competition. Plus terrific dining, lodging and shopping.

Telluride: Located a mere 40 minutes away from 1000 County Road #3, Telluride is a world-class ski resort that is one of the premiere destination spots in Colorado. Southwestern Colorado: This is an area rich in history and easily accessible from 1000 County Road #3. Visit sites like Mesa Verde National Park and the spectacular cliff-dwellings left by ancient Anasazi Indians.

Montrose: This city is 25 minutes to the north of 1000 County Road #3, and has major shopping outlets like Target and Wal-Mart. It has a population of over 13,000. It has a regional airport boasting a nationally renowned civilian aircraft repair facility and private jet accommodations.

Grand Junction: an hour-and-a-half drive from 1000 County Road #3, Grand Junction is the hub of commerce on the western slope of Colorado. It has all of the conveniences of a big city, including major shopping malls, auto dealerships, etc. It features a major regional airport, Walker Field.

Denver: Approximately an hour flight over the Rockies (or a six hour drive), Denver is a major U.S. City with a surrounding population of nearly 3 million. It has top-notch cultural activities, including the theater, the arts. Denver is the home to four pro sports teams in the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.
